Job Purpose: Meet and supply Logistics demands for raw material and finished goods worldwide.

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare
Key Responsibilities:
This apprenticeship role is part of the Queally Group Apprenticeship Programme. The role is for a fixed-term contract over two years with academic study (1 day per week) forming part of this role. The Logistics Associate Apprenticeship provides academic Education and practical training across the Freight, Logistics, Shipping and Distribution industries. The successful candidate will spend one day a week with Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) for their academic studies. Completion of this programme will lead to a Level 6 Award on the National Framework of Qualifications.

The responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
- Analyse forecast and liaise with Sales and Operations teams on Supply / Demand issues
- Manage Sales contracts – timing / coordinating product/credit limits and logistics
- Develop demand plans, interface on supply issues
- High control of Inventory to ensure high efficiencies
- React to market demand to ensure supply from Traders
- Participate and lead logistics-related projects
- Support and Liaise with sales and operation team on order and supply Management
- Propose and investigate cost-saving initiatives
- Regular status / communication reporting to customers / traders
- Ensure that all logistics paperwork is accurate and produced in a timely manner
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely supply of product
- Liaise with carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers for loading on time every time
- Ensure key business partners are updated on a daily basis with details on any supply issues that may arise
- Liaise with Dept. Ag to ensure Veterinary procedures upheld always
- Investigate new market opportunities, assuring approval & lifting barriers to trade in new countries
- Stock controlling and rotation
- Credit Control

- Excellent data entry, excel and outlook skills a key requirement

- Flexibility and ability to manage change
- Flexibility to manage work & academic deadlines
Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
- Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc
- Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
