Job Title: Logistics Apprentice (LAA programme)
Job Purpose: Support the existing Logistics Office team, Logistics Manager and the Customer Experience Manager in the daily administrative operations of the logistics department.
Location: DID Warehouse, Clondalkin, Dublin 22
Dept/Store: Logistics Department
Reports To: Logistics Manager
Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
- Coordinate transport of goods from end to end
- Liaising with DID delivery drivers and third-party drivers to foster a good working relationship
- Providing excellent customer service and support to colleagues across the company where Logistics queries arise
- Preparing invoices for orders and deliveries as part of record-keeping measures and evidence of transactions
- Maintaining accurate records of all deliveries, ensuring they are maintained and updated in a timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines including but not limited to Covid-19 infection prevention control measures
- Following documented procedures and guidelines at all times
- Creating a safe working environment by adhering to safety measures to prevent accidents and complications that may arise during work
Education:
Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
- Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc
- Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
